When you donate to the Hunger Relief Fund, you help feed hungry children and families around the world. No child should lack nutritious food, but 45 million children worldwide are dangerously malnourished — suffering from acute malnutrition or “wasting.” Children with this condition are at higher risk of dying from common childhood diseases due to weakened immune systems, and those who survive can be impacted by permanent growth and development challenges.
You can help ensure kids get the nutrition they need, addressing immediate food needs and empowering families to grow their own sustainable sources of food. And thanks to public grants, your gift will multiply 15 times in impact!
Your gift will help provide critically needed resources like:
• Emergency food for severely malnourished children
• Family food baskets that provide essentials like Super Cereal, a powerful supplementary solution to help children under 5 grow strong
• Seeds, tools, and training to help families grow their own food
• Training and support for livelihood efforts that provide income to help ensure proper nutrition
• Education for moms on techniques to provide balanced diets for their kids
• Supplementary infant and child feeding programs
With support from donors like you, World Vision’s local staff around the world work to address both immediate and long-term nutrition and food security needs. And we’re effective: Over the last 10 years, 89% of the severely malnourished children we treated made a full recovery. We also work with families to improve nutrition over the long term by helping them:
• Increase agricultural productivity through improved seeds and farming practices
• Profitably sell their crops through improved market access
• Learn how to improve nutrition and dietary diversity
• Sustainably manage natural resources — preventing soil erosion, maintaining soil fertility, and using water more efficiently

Our Commitment
Your gift is a sacred trust. We promise to honor your generosity by using your donation in the most effective way possible. Giving options represent World Vision projects and suggested donation amounts are based on surveys in the countries where we serve. Your donation will be used to provide assistance where it's needed most with the gift category. For example, when you give an animal gift, a portion of the gift may also help provide water sources, farming assistance, hunger relief, and other related essentials.
