More DetailsHelp end the global hunger crisis.
The effects of regional conflicts like the escalating violence in Sudan, sharply rising costs, extreme weather events, and the social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic are threatening an unprecedented number of people around the globe with hunger and starvation. The World Food Programme estimates that the 276 million people currently facing acute food insecurity could rise to between 309 million and 323 million under different scenarios due to the conflict in Ukraine.
Your donation multiplies 5x in impact!
World Vision is the World Food Programme’s largest distribution partner, and a preferred partner of the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance.
Thanks to donor contributions, combined with public grants from partnerships like these, every $1 you donate to Global Hunger Response delivers $5 in impact, bringing resources like critically needed food, clean water, child protection, nutritional support, and more to families facing hunger and starvation.
World Vision’s strategic response
World Vision has launched its largest humanitarian undertaking ever, a global emergency response to make a life-saving impact for 22 million children and families. Surpassing the size and scope of our Global COVID-19 pandemic response, World Vision’s 18-month global hunger response will focus on 26 countries where hunger is at its worst.
Motivated by our faith in Jesus and empowered by our worldwide partnerships and presence in nearly 100 countries, World Vision is uniquely able to respond to humanitarian emergencies anywhere in the world—including the global hunger crisis.
Our work is effective
Over the last 10 years, 89% of the severely malnourished children World Vision treated made a full recovery.
Our Commitment
At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent program implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to similar activities to help children and families in need.
The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
