Please help us address the distinct challenges facing women farmers in exiting extreme poverty by supporting the Women THRIVE Fund.
Around the world, women continue to suffer from a lack of economic opportunity. THRIVE (Transforming Household Resilience in Vulnerable Environments) is a multifaceted approach designed to help farming families break free from extreme poverty.
The Women THRIVE Fund focuses on the three most critical elements to women’s economic transformation:
- Empowered Worldview training – helping women break free from a dependence mindset to one of empowerment and personal responsibility. Women learn they are created and valued by God and can play a powerful role in their own futures.
- Savings For Transformation – supporting community members form savings groups, where they learn to save money together. These groups provide a safe place for learning about finance, nurturing new business ideas, and taking a loan from the group.
- Microfinance Loans – increasing access to financial services for women by expanding the capital available to our microfinance provider, VisionFund to lend to women. These larger loans provide power for significant growing farms and businesses.
Join us in helping women make the transformation from poverty to prosperity.
Our Commitment
At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent program implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to similar activities to help children and families in need.
The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
