When the pandemic emerged in March 2020, World Vision declared a Global Health Emergency Response — the first in our 70-year history — encompassing over 70 countries, including the U.S. As secondary impacts of the global pandemic pushed already-struggling families into poverty, World Vision began working hand in hand with churches and school districts to deliver essentials to the most vulnerable.

From strategic locations across the nation, we’re aiming to reach over 420,000 people with Family Emergency Kits containing a week’s worth of food for a family of five. The kits also include school supplies, protective items like hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes, and other desperately needed essentials.

NFL player Kelvin Beachum Jr. knows what it means for a family to have a boost in hard times. Now Kelvin wants to equip others to stay afloat, so he is supporting World Vision to help reach people with Family Emergency Kits. Kelvin says, “I was a kid who benefited from federal feeding programs and now I am blessed to have a platform and resources to pour blessings into others. I want to inspire giving that shows Christ’s love — so parents don’t have to make the tough choice between electricity and dinner for their kids.”

Your gift of $75 can bring a struggling family in the U.S. a Family Emergency Kit that includes things like:

  • Nutritious fruits and vegetables, protein, pasta, rice, and cereal to feed a family of five for one week
  • School supplies like color crayons, erasers, scissors, glue, and more
  • Hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and first-aid antiseptic
  • Paper products including toilet paper and paper towels
  • Books, board games, and coloring books

In addition to Family Emergency Kits, World Vision is providing critical personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers at hard-hit medical centers, including face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer. We’ve already distributed over 2.5 million units of PPE — including 1.5 million to 400 schools around the country to help keep students safe as they return to the classroom.

Please donate today to show the love of God to kids, families, and healthcare workers in the U.S. by equipping them with the urgent resources they need.

Our Commitment

Your gift is a sacred trust. We promise to honor your generosity and use your donation in the most effective way possible. The gift options shown reflect World Vision projects and the suggested donation amounts are based on periodic surveys of the countries we serve. Each item is representative of the gift category in which it appears, and donations will be used to provide assistance within that gift category where it is needed most. When you give any animal gift, a portion of the gift may also help provide watering sources, farming assistance, hunger relief, and other related essentials as needed.

The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
