Please help us address the root causes of migration from Honduras by supporting our integrated and holistic approach, Hope at Home: Honduras.
Honduras faces unique challenges in both urban and rural contexts, and we address them with interventions targeting the source of the problems. We empower urban and rural families to create ideal homes, offering hope and a future.
In urban areas we confront violence abuse and lack of economic opportunities. Hope at Home: Honduras brings child protection, Christian discipleship, and an approach to building paths to employment, entrepreneurship, and education called “Youth Ready”.
In rural areas we face high levels of extreme poverty and lack of access to water, sanitation, and hygiene. Hope for Honduras responds with our integrated approach for building improved and resilient livelihoods called “THRIVE”, and with comprehensive community-led approaches for new water systems, latrines and handwashing stations, and hygiene education.
- $500 provides household water connection for 1 family
- $2,500 provides discipleship activities for over 100 children and youth
- $12,500 protects 23 youth and trains 83 others in child protection from violence
- $25,000 provides 25 farming families with the skills and training to exit extreme poverty
With partners like you, we can help Honduran families build homes that are safe, nurturing, providing water, food, health, and opportunity, and create a future and a hope.
Your gift is a sacred trust. We promise to honor your generosity by using your donation in the most effective way possible. Giving options represent World Vision projects and suggested donation amounts are based on surveys in the countries where we serve. Your donation will be used to provide assistance where it’s needed most within the gift category. For example, when you give an animal gift, a portion of the gift may also help provide water sources, farming assistance, hunger relief, and other related essentials.
The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
