Bring Hope When Disaster Strikes

Your disaster relief donation today saves lives for children and families facing emergencies—right when and where it’s needed most.

Every year, more than 150 million people are impacted by natural disasters, and another 100 million are forced from their homes by conflict, violence, or persecution. In places like Lebanon, Haiti, Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria, Türkiye, and beyond, emergencies leave children especially vulnerable—losing their homes, access to food and clean water, and the chance to feel safe.

With your support, and powered by Jesus’ love, World Vision’s presence in nearly 100 countries enables us to reach those in need within 24 to 72 hours, providing emergency aid and staying to support families as they rebuild.

In 2024 World Vision reached 35 million people—including 18.9 million children—through 84 disasters and humanitarian emergencies in 65 countries.

Our responses are always tailored to the specific needs of the impacted community, but our priorities typically include:

  • Rapid emergency assistance: Providing relief supplies, food, clean water, emergency shelter, blankets, and emergency health services.

  • Women, youth, and children: Prioritizing the needs of these vulnerable groups, including providing safe places where children can play and learn.

  • Long-term needs: Providing food; healthcare; education; protection; water, sanitation, and hygiene; and vouchers or cash to pay for services and essentials.

  • Advocacy: Advocating for people impacted by disasters and empowering them to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and their devastating impact on everyday life.

In situations where we are invested in long-term recovery, we address areas such as: disaster risk reduction, social cohesion/peace-building, vocational training, income generation, and restoration of livelihoods and infrastructure. In doing so, people are equipped to rebuild their lives and communities in ways that equip them to withstand future disasters and challenges.

With your help, World Vision plans to support 70 million people affected by emergencies and humanitarian crises internationally by 2030. Thank you for prayerfully considering partnering with us in this life-saving work by making a gift to the Global Emergency Response Fund. Your gift to the Global Emergency Response Fund, combined in part with public grants and other partner support, will multiply 6X in impact!

Our Commitment

At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent program implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to similar activities to help children and families in need.

The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
