Give the gift of milk … and so much more.
One cow gives up to 5,000 gallons — or 80,000 glasses — of milk in its lifetime. That’s a nutrition lifeline for a hungry child. But when a family receives a cow through World Vision, they gain so much more than just milk. They also get income from the sale of milk, a steady supply of manure to fertilize crops, and a renewed sense of hope for the future. And when a cow produces offspring, the sale (or gift) of a calf to a neighbor extends that hope to others.
For families like Chhaly’s, in Cambodia, a dairy cow can be a game changer: “I [was] happy when my dad received a cow from World Vision. Now we have two calves,” said Chhaly (pictured at age 9). “Now my family could earn more money and my dad [could] buy [a] hand-tractor by selling a cow.”
Our Commitment
Your gift is a sacred trust. We promise to honor your generosity by using your donation in the most effective way possible. Giving options represent World Vision projects and suggested donation amounts are based on surveys in the countries where we serve. Your donation will be used to provide assistance where it’s needed most within the gift category. For example, when you give an animal gift, a portion of the gift may also help provide water sources, farming assistance, hunger relief, and other related essentials.
The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
