More DetailsProvide food security for vulnerable kids.
An unprecedented number of people in East Africa are threatened by hunger and starvation — a growing crisis fueled by regional conflicts, sharply rising costs, extreme weather events, and the social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With famine looming in parts of East Africa, tens of thousands of children could starve to death because of food and water shortages. Record-high levels of hunger are being driven in large part by entrenched conflict and the cumulative impact of extreme weather events including historic, back-to-back droughts, locust swarms, and landscape-changing floods.
Your gift will help save precious lives in places across East Africa where people are most vulnerable. And because of grant funds, your donation will have 6 times the impact to provide emergency food, clean water, access to medical care, and more. You can be the answer to prayer for children and families faced with life-threatening food insecurity.
To make an even bigger, ongoing impact, you can sponsor a child from Kenya or Ethiopia. Show God’s love to a child in need as you empower them and their entire community with the resources to overcome hunger and poverty — and create an environment where children can thrive.
Our Commitment
At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent program implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to similar activities to help children and families in need.
The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
