Due to regional conflicts, sharply rising costs, and extreme weather events, a hunger crisis is growing worldwide. When you donate to Food Aid for Africa, you help feed hungry children and families in Africa. No child should lack nutritious food, but over 12 million children in Africa are dangerously malnourished — suffering from acute malnutrition or “wasting.” Children with this condition are at higher risk of dying from common childhood diseases due to weakened immune systems, and those who survive can be impacted by permanent growth and development challenges.
You can help ensure kids get the nutrition they need, addressing immediate food needs and equipping families to grow their own sustainable sources of food. And thanks to public grants, your gift will multiply 13 times in impact!
Your gift will help provide critically needed resources like:
• Emergency food for severely malnourished children
• Family food baskets that provide essentials like Super Cereal, a powerful supplementary solution to help children under 5 grow strong
• Seeds, tools, and training to help families grow their own food
• Training and support for livelihood efforts that provide income to help ensure proper nutrition
• Education for moms on techniques to provide balanced diets for their kids
• Supplementary infant and child feeding programs
