Churches are the hands and feet of Jesus to refugees.

Your gift to World Vision’s Equipping Churches to Serve in Emergencies Fund helps local churches as they care for families that have had to flee violence in Syria and Iraq. In a vast sea of need, these Christians are striving to live out God’s call to care for the weak and vulnerable, reflecting Christ’s light and demonstrating His love.

  • Helping church leaders and congregations through effective, relevant and culturally sensitive care for refugees and displaced people.
  • Collaboration along with churches, World Vision provides urgent and longer-term interventions.
  • Medical care, non-formal education and youth empowerment, simple shelter and renovations and psychosocial care for children are just a few of the ways churches care for their communities.

Local Christian churches in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan are answering the call of Christ to be His hands and feet to those in need.

By equipping churches to serve Syrian and Iraqi families, you support the tireless efforts of local Christian churches as they compassionately respond to the needs of refugees and displaced people in their communities.

Our Commitment

At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent program implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to similar activities to help children and families in need.

The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
