Please join our 5,000 Bibles challenge going on now. Visit worldvisionphilanthropy.org to see the latest progress toward achieving this goal.

Owning a Bible is something that many American Christians take for granted. Christian homes often have more than one – Bibles tailored for children or teens and different translations. But in communities where  World Vision works, Bibles are often rare.

For families living in poverty, purchasing a Bible is often seen as a luxury completely out of reach, so children and adults rely on teachings from local church leaders to guide their faith. They have no opportunity to read God’s Word for themselves, deepening their understanding of how to live Christ-like lives through the study of Scripture.

The International Bible Fund will provide Bibles to World Vision communities based on specific needs expressed for each country. This may include full Bibles, New Testaments, children’s Bibles, study materials, or local language audio Bibles where cultural practices or literacy levels indicate these as the best alternative.

Join World Vision in spreading God’s Word by providing access to Scripture for families earnestly seeking to grow in their faith.

Our Commitment

At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent program implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to similar activities to help children and families in need.

The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
