When a disaster strikes, World Vision is there. We respond immediately with life-saving help and supplies, and then stay long term to support families as they recover and rebuild.
In 1980, World Vision entered China through helping Qinghai disaster relief and started our work in China. With years of relief experiences and strong network and foundation built with local communities in nearly 20 provinces in China, we are able to rapidly respond to all kinds of disasters such as earthquake, flood, typhoon, drought, mudslides and more in China.
Our relief team usually reaches the disaster area for assessment and have the initial response plan ready within 72 hours after a disaster takes place. We not only immediately distribute relief supplies to help survivors but also stay in the impacted area to plan for long-term resilience rebuilding work. Your gift today will help us fully prepared to rapidly respond to disasters in China as well as continues all the on-going recovery and rebuilding work with the impacted families hit by previous disasters.
Increase your impact even more by giving monthly or yearly to the Disaster Relief Fund.
- You will be joining a special group of supporters who are the heart of our ministry. They help us to continue our crucial work and plan for the ever-changing needs of the vulnerable children and communities we serve.
At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent program implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to similar activities to help children and families in need.
The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
