Providing youth with hope at home.

Through RISE, youth are empowered with education, job training, and meaningful employment.

For many youth living in Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador (known as the Northern Triangle), a life of blessing seems impossible.

Poverty, violence, and a lack of opportunity have defined their lives, but we believe there is hope: hope for the youth, their families, and their communities.

That is why we are launching RISE (Reaching Independence through Support and Empowerment). By 2030, we aim to prepare 60,000 youth in the Northern Triangle for economic opportunities or find meaningful work.

Our approach works! A Honduras Youth Ready study revealed a remarkable increase in employment, more than doubling from 29% at the start of the program to 63% two years post-graduation.

RISE has a proven approach:

Youth Ready – Targeting 11,000 participants, Youth Ready equips youth with skills critical for success at work and in life. Participants choose one of three pathways: Education, Entrepreneurship, or Employment.

Excellence Program – We will identify 400 outstanding Youth Ready graduates who have demonstrated exceptional potential to take their work to the next level, whether through employment or entrepreneurship.

Teen Ready – Focused on in-school adolescents aged 12-17, Teen Ready aims to prevent dropout rates and increase motivation for learning through engaging activities such as art, sports, science, and technology.

At its core, RISE seeks to equip young people with the skills, training, and experience needed to thrive in both life and the workforce.

When you support RISE programs, you give vulnerable youth options other than migration by empowering self-confidence and providing meaningful employment.

Our Commitment

At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent program implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to similar activities to help children and families in need.

The multiplying effect from grants and donated goods may change throughout the year on identical or similar offers due to variations in the start and end dates of donor grants and our programs.
