About this Beta
This mySponsorship Web site is designed to evaluate whether World Vision child sponsors and the children and families in sponsorship communities find the information it presents useful and engaging. Our goal is to build a bridge of understanding and commitment between our two worlds. Only a select number of World Vision sponsorship communities are participating in this Beta.
The information presented on the mySponsorship Web site has been produced collaboratively by World Vision United States, National Offices in the many countries represented, our community partners in these countries, and World Vision International. We especially want to thank our community partners for their hard work and dedication in bringing you informative photos and stories that paint a vibrant and textured glimpse into their lives.
Your feedback is critical in determining whether World Vision will invest in similar Web sites in other sponsorship communities.
FAQ’s
1. How often is the Web site updated?
The frequency at which information is updated varies. New photos and other information is added as it becomes available. The weather reports on the Home Pages are in real time.
2. How accurate is the weather information?
The weather reports we receive are coming from the closest possible weather reporting station (usually an airport) to the sponsorship community. For some of the communities, this can be up to 200 miles away.
3. Will my child ever be featured on the Web site?
It is possible that your child will be featured on the Web site. However, since each community is very large and can have thousands of sponsored children, we cannot guarantee that your child will be featured. However, we do encourage you to check back often to learn more about your sponsored child’s community and to see if your child is featured in a photo or story posting.
4. Why are you featuring topics on the Web site that do not relate to sponsorship project work?
We feature a variety of topics to give you an accurate idea of life in the community and the needs and successes of the families who live there.
5. How do I give a gift directly to my child?
Please call our Donor Contact Services to arrange your gift at 1-888-511-6559.
6. Why have I been sent multiple emails regarding this project?
You may have received a Welcome email, letting you know about the mySponsorship Beta Web site, and we periodically send email updates to alert you to what’s new in the community and to remind you to check back to see the new photos and stories. If you wish to unsubscribe to the email, you will find a link at the bottom of the email with instructions on how to unsubscribe. If you are not receiving these email updates, please call 1-888-511-6559 to sign up.
7. Can I view my account information from this page as well?
No, at this time, this Beta Web site is not linked to your account in that manner. If you would like to see your account information, please visit www.worldvision.org and click on “Donor Sign In” on the right-hand side of the Web site’s home page.
