World Vision has been encouraging schools and farmers to grow citrus fruits for economic sustainability and as a way of promoting good health for children. One of the schools in the area is doing so well and benefiting sponsored children like Tarai who like guavas. “It is difficult to find fruits like guavas and oranges in this community though they are important for our health. We give these fruits to children around the community and sell what remains to generate income for the school,” Chikanta Basic School Manager Faith Mususa says.
