Chess for Children’s Development (2)
“Chess is an amazing game, and I must tell you that girls are much smarter than boys,” says Ani, 13. Ani explains that when they organize a contest within the club or whenever they go and play with schoolchildren, girls are the ones to always win. “When I grow up and finish school, I will go to the capital, Yerevan, to enter the State University of Physical Culture. This will give me a good chance to become a good chess player, and maybe an Olympic Champion one day,” says Meri, 13.
